Jay Simon’s passion for fitness started on an Ohio wrestling mat at the age of five. He has since trained in power lifting, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Thai Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts. This experience, along with his in-depth knowledge of fitness, keeps his clients engaged and challenged through a well-balanced selection of strength and conditioning exercises.
Jay developed the functional training system of Ruckus 101 that emphasizes multi-joint movements and creative exercises. Serving as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Academy for Body Efficient Tactical Arts (BETA Academy) in Washington, DC, Jay uses Ruckus 101 to improve students’ performance on the Brazilian Jiu- jitsu mat and in the Thai Boxing ring.
