I’m David Ramsey. My background as it relates to health is 110 years of family medical practice going back to my great grandfather who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Medical school in 1901. I studied Molecular and Cellular Biology at U.C. Berkeley. Having 7 medical doctors in my family has lead me to absorb and process a tremendous about of information related to medical research and first hand practice and application of treatment as related to diseases, injuries, and all manner of conditioning and rehabbing the human body. My own experience includes playing and conditioning for my favorite sport of baseball for many years, and as a personal trainer I have seen a multitude of clients, and learned the instincts of finding what works best for them. To do this an educational background and deep understanding of biochemistry and hormone and dietary science is incredibly important. Exercise is Medicine in itself but just like drug treatment it must be chosen and dosed or cycled or progressed precisely. Orgnaized medicine, the food and drug adinistration, and the pharmaceutical and food industries have lead to many diseases, and problems with health in todays society. There is an inherent conflict of interest in that they are profitting from their products and services while advertising and marketing in an effort to tell you what to believe and do with your body. Good unbiased research which is done not to sell or promote anything but to find accurate information is very tough to come by. I’ve studied medical and exercise information for 20 years and with my experience in sports and exercise I’ve learned how to help individuals seeking to improve their health without all the conventional politically popular aproaches which in many cases are ineffective.
After picking up a kettlebell and learning the training techniques and incorporating them into my clients workouts as well as my own I’ve seen acceleration in progress in a variety of fitness aspects such as coordination, flexibility, strength, endurance, and of course loss of body fat. I’m very enthusiastic about having the opportunity to work with people and educate them.
