Giorgio Rojas is a Certified Kettlebell Teacher, Master Trainer, Australian Head coach, and one of the first in Australia to be certified by world class trainer Steve Cotter. Giorgio’s experience in fitness and martial arts began at the age of seven, in his native country Peru. He started in Karate where he attained his Black Belt, soon after he moved to Australia and started kick boxing at the age of thirteen. He also studied the chinese art of Praying Mantis Boxing but his back problems didn’t allow him to continue. He found the smooth art of Brazilian JiuJitsu and has been training since the year 2000, Giorgio is a purple belt under Royler Gracie’s student Brunno Panno.

Giorgio has experience in competing gaining first, second and third place in various Brazilian JiuJitsu competitions throughout Australia.

In 2007 he began touring the world doing his other passion, playing drums for a dance production Burn the floor. Putting his jiujitsu training on hold. Giorgio has been training Kettlebell sport since 2006 and it has become a very significant part of his everyday life. The flexibility that Kettlebell training provides, means that he can train anywhere he is touring. He constantly seeks like minded people to train with and also teaches where he goes.

Giorgio has been coaching people for about 6 years, using kettlebell sport and martial arts as his methods.

He suffers from scoliosis, hips out of place and has a bone missing in his lower back, and after years of seeing physios, chiropractors, osteopaths he took it upon him self to do his own research about how and what can help with his back problems. After so many years of trial and error his brother Zamar Rojas ( also a great coach) introduced him to kettlebells, and not long after that Steve Cotter took him under his wing and taught him Kettlebell sport. If it wasn’t for kettlebell sport and martial arts, he would not be able to do what he does and have the discipline to over come any problems in life.
Kettlebell sport is his therapy, his physio, his chiropractor and helps makes his mind strong.

As a martial artist and a Kettlebell sport coach, Giorgio believes that you have to take care of your mind and body because they are the main tools we have in life.

He has a very patient and energetic method of teaching. His experience in learning has developed his passion and knowledge for teaching. He gets enormous satisfaction from seeing people grow and progress through Kettlebell training and martial arts.

      Mike first certified with the IKFF in March 2010 and became IKFF Master Trainer in 2014.

      Mike says: “Performance is the product of practice and focus. Progress is a natural state of staying focused. You develop a subconscious understanding of the techniques until they become reflexes, they become fluid and effortless and so their effectiveness will be many times better. It’s not just about the physical practice, but about the mental attitude changes the practice brings you.”

      Mike has a passion and a long-term holistic approach to fitness and wellness, incorporating skill based full-body exercise, restoration practices and wholefood cooking and eating.

      Mike has been training for over 40 years. During the 1980s he competed in Judo to a high level and he represented his county at U18 and U21. Today, at the age of 53, he is fitter and stronger than he was over 30 years ago, he has unstoppable energy and is showing no signs of slowing. Mike trains and practices with kettlebells, Persian Meels, Gada, Indian clubs and body-weight exercises daily. Every session is maximised from beginning to end for optimal gain, with recovery and restoration after workouts. All Mike’s sessions are delivered with Energy, Enthusiasm and Passion.

      In the summer of 2018 Mike and his wife, Ginny, realised a dream and walked the 630 mile South West Coast Path, with no rest days and camped most of the way. “It was awe-inspiring and life changing”

      Ray first trained and certified with the IKFF in Sept. 2008 and continues to train with Steve and Ken at any opportunity he can.

      “Passing the CKT was not just a tick-the-box exercise for me. The IKFF are proud to learn more and develop their CKT program and I always want to be there to keep my training true to form and soak up key lessons and developments.”

      Ray runs Kettlebells Aberdeen in Scotland and offers kettlebell education and classes for general fitness. More recently, he has offered kettlebell training for sport-specific fitness and is always excited to share his passion for kettlebell lifting.

      “I discovered kettlebells through my martial arts training originally, and now I teach classes and workshops in Aberdeen. I love seeing gains made by people who train with the kettlebell regularly in my sessions – whether it’s strength, fat loss, agility, confidence for example, everyone can have huge gains specific to them and I embrace that about kettlebell training.”

      A keen lifter in Kettlebell Sport in the UK, Ray is also the coach of the Aberdeen Kettlebell Club.

      “I started lifting in competition in October 2011, and since then helped over a dozen athletes lift in competition. The rewards come in many forms, not just medals. It can be a real challenge for some people to commit to training required for a competition, let alone stand on the platform. So when my team get up on there and lift their best for themselves, it’s entirely inspirational.”

      Ray achieved MS in Biathlon competition in August 2013, and is now working towards the same rank in Long Cycle. The IKFF’s Ken Blackburn is his coach.

      “I am very passionate about kettlebell training, always keen to learn more, perform better, and keen to encourage others to lift as best as they can. My CKT in the UK is delivered with as much passion, hard work and enjoyment as I have had the pleasure of receiving from Steve and Ken.

      Nacido en Santa Fe, Argentina, el 5 de junio de 1969.

      A los 18 años fue fisicoculturista, a los 20 obtuvo el 3er puesto a nivel nacional.
      Luego practico boxeo , integro la seleccion argentina y mas tarde se dedico al boxeo profesional. Lucho en varios paises del mundo llegando a ser reconocido en Argentina por su buen desempeño en este deporte.
      Desde hace varios aÒos conocio las Kettlebells y comenzo a entrenarse con ellas, lo que lo llevo a conocer IKFF. Es CKT nivel 1 y 2 en esta Federacion.
      Actualmente es Instructor del Grupo de Operaciones Especiales de la Policia de Santa Fe y aplica ejercicios con kettlebells a los entrenamiento tacticos de los mismos.
      Desde hace dos aÒos se dedica tambien a hacer Capacitaciones con Kettlebells en diferentes ciudades.

      I started training Kettlebells (with Trent Murgatroyd) in 2006. Kettlebells in South Africa was, at that time, an unknown entity. We had some, but very little exposure to kettlebell techniques and training methods, so progress was limited. However, in 2008, Steve Cotter of the IKFF came to our country and we were able to attend CKT1. This was an eye-opener: For the first time, we were exposed to systematic training methods and new, mechanically efficient techniques! This was very exciting for us: The relationship with the IKFF had begun!

      In 2010, we (unsuccessfully) attempted CKT2. It was back to the drawing board. A year later, under Trent’s coaching and applying the new IKFF techniques programming, I re-did CKT2, this time successfully. CKT2 involves double kettlebells…And this was where my love for doubles started…

      I think that, in life, the things you struggle with the most, ultimately grow into your greatest love and appreciation: The improvements are small and so precious, that one embarks on a love-affair with the nemesis! So it was for me and doubles…

      In 2013, CKT3 was completed, together with MKS. IKFF has always led the way in offering enormous opportunity to learn and have access to the latest training information and techniques.

      Kettlebells has taught me to be patient with my body and myself: All things take time. Greed for faster results has no place: It is time under load, remaining calm and focused in the face of one’s nemesis; in addition, one learns respect for everyone who steps up to participate in this challenging arena.
